I wanted to take a moment and share a really "big" passion of mine and that is simply helping other mom's and dad's realize how important it is to read our labels and know what is healthy and not so healthy. The substances that I feel are basically like a "poison" to our bodies are ingredients that are artificially derived and are direct chemicals to our brain! These substances are especially harmful to little bodies and I feel are a direct correlation to many problems that our bodies encounter. Some of the ingredients that I highly recommend that you stay away from are things like (please excuse the mispellings):
1. Aspartame
2. Sucralose
3. Phenylalanine
4. Oleo
5. Acesulsafame
Many of these substances are in diet pops, foods that say they have less calories, gums, and are often hidden in many foods!

ReplyDeleteVery good points! We try to buy sandwich bread with no corn syrup, and yogurt with real sugar, not other sweeteners.

ReplyDeleteOh My! I was just having a conversation with a friend of mine tonight about fake sugars and the unnecessary hormones fed to chickens to beef them up! I've really started to take a 2nd look at many of the things I eat!
